These are a really yummy way to cook a low-carb chicken tender that has plenty of great taste. They are easy to make, and work well in a variety of dishes. For example, you could cut them up and place them on a bed of greens, or you could serve them up as a snack with some honey-mustard dipping sauce. It’s up to you. I’m short on some images, because I made these up in a hurry, but never-the-less, they are awesome. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For poultry essentials: low carb chicken tenders

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • THE SEASONING
  • 1 tsp
    salt, kosher variety
  • 1 Tbsp
    hungarian paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried thyme
  • 2 tsp
    white pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin powder
  • THE TENDERS
  • 1 lb
    chicken tenders, or sliced chicken breasts
  • 4 Tbsp
    sweet butter, unsalted

How To Make poultry essentials: low carb chicken tenders

    PREP/PREPARE

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  • 3
    Mix all the ingredients for the seasoning together, and reserve.
  • 4
    Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 400f (205c)
  • 5
    Melt the butter in a small saucepan.
  • 6
    Toss the chicken tenders in the butter.
  • 7
    Lay the tenders on a rack inside of a parchment-lined baking sheet.

    Sprinkle both sides with the reserved seasoning.

    Place into the preheated oven, and bake until nice and brown, about 15 – 20 minutes.

    Serve on a salad, or with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy.
