These are simple wings, oven-baked with an excellent sweet/tangy glaze. Easy/Peasy to assemble, and you will be chowing down on some awesome wings in about 30 quick minutes. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • THE WINGS
  • 1 lb
    chicken wings, about a dozen
  • 1 Tbsp
    grapeseed oil
  • salt, kosher variety, to taste
  • black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • THE GLAZE
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh clover honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot sauce, i prefer frank’s
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper, or more to taste

How To Make poultry essentials: honey & hot-sauce glazed wings

    You will need a baking sheet, with a fitted wire rack for this recipe.

    Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
  • 4
    Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 425f (220c)
  • 5
    Add the grapeseed oil to a bowl, toss in the wings, and then add a bit of salt & pepper to taste.

    Place the wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet, fitted with a wire rack.

    Bake until the wings are nice, and brown, and crispy, about 20 – 25 minutes.

    While the wings are baking combine the honey, the hot sauce, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

    Take the wings out of the oven, and brush on the glaze.

    Return to the oven for about 3 – 5 minutes.
