How To Make dip essentials: beef & chicken tenders sauce
-
1PREP/PREPARE
-
2I did not include a recipe for chicken or beef tenders; although I have several out there, this is just a good tasty sauce that compliments beef and chicken.
-
3Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
-
4Add the butter to a saucepan over medium heat.
-
5When melted and the foaming subsides, add the flour.
-
6Cook until the mixture resembles a thick paste, about 2 – 3 minutes.
-
7Chef’s Note: Mixing a fat with flour is called making a Rue, and it is used as a thickener for sauces, soups, and stews.
-
8Slowly whisk the milk in, and stir, while lightly simmering, until the sauce thickens, about 2 – 3 minutes.
-
9Add the parmesan cheese, mustard, and honey, and stir until the cheese melts into the sauce, about 2 – 3 minutes.
-
10Season with salt and pepper, to taste (I like mine peppery).
-
11PLATE/PRESENT
-
12Serve with beef or chicken tenders, or maybe breaded and fried veggies. Enjoy.
-
13Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
