Ingredients For chicken pot stickers

  • 1 lb
    ground chicken breast
  • 1 lg
    carrot, peeled and shredded
  • 1/2 c
    shredded napa cabbage
  • 1/3 c
    chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp
    ginger root, minced
  • 1 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1
    egg white
  • 1 pkg
    wonton or gyoza wrappers
  • 4 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 4 tsp
    soy sauce

How To Make chicken pot stickers

    Mix all ingredients except for wrappers, broth and soy sauce.

    Wet the edges of the wrapper. Spoon a teaspoon or so of chickent mixture. Fold the wrapper in half to or as desired. I have included a youtube video on different styles of wrapping wontons/dumplings in the comments below for your convenience. Repeat until all the wontons and/or filling is used.

    Pour 1 Tbsp. peanut oil into a 12-inch nonstick skillet. Heat over medium high heat.

    Cook 12 pot stickers at a time, 3 minutes or so on each side until lightly browned.

    Stir in 1/2 cup of the broth and 1 teaspoon of the soy sauce. Cover and cook 5 minutes.

    Repeat with remaining pot stickers, broth and soy sauce.
