4 sliceitalian bread

1tomato, seeds removed and diced

½green bell pepper, diced

4 slicethin sliced smoked ham

1 Tbspchopped pickled jalapeno

1 Tbspmayonnaise

1 Tbspolive oil, extra virgin

1 Tbspbalsamic vinegar
-
¼ tspgarlic powder
-
2 Tbsppasteurized egg white (or ½ egg white). beaten

4 - 5freshly basil leaves, chopped

1scallion, chopped
-
1 Tbspunsalted butter, room temperature, for spreading 4 slices of bread

¼ cshredded mozzarella cheese or less, for topping
How To Make smoked ham bruschetta

1Preheat the oven to 350°F and place the rack in the middle.

2On a baking sheet with parchment paper, place 4 slices of bread and spread the top side of each bread with butter.

3In a medium bowl, mix tomato, bell pepper, smoked ham, pickled jalapeno, mayo, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and basil. Then add beaten egg white and garlic powder, mix until well combined. Divide into 4 equal portions.

4Place each portion of mixture on top of each slice of bread. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

5Bake them for 10 minutes, take out and sprinkle with chopped scallion. Serve immediately.

6Alternative to serve this bruschetta: -Roll up each sliced ham and make a pinwheel shape, instead of mixing with other ingredients. -Place roll up ham on top of veggies mixture and add julienne cutting mozzarella cheese.
