simple small batch guacamole

I love guacamole but I hate having left-overs. No matter what trick you use to keep it fresh, it is never as good as when it was freshly made. This is my attempt to make a small enough batch to be eaten right away.

Ingredients For simple small batch guacamole

  • 1
    avocado, ripe
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1/2 - 1 Tbsp
    cilantro, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt, or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion, finely minced (optional)
  • garlic powder or salt, to taste (optional)

How To Make simple small batch guacamole

  • 1
    Cut in half, discard seed and scoop avocado into small bowl. Mash with fork to desired consistance.

    Add lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño and salt and stir together. Serve with tortilla chips.
  • 3
    Optionally - either add onion to the guac or replace the jalapeño with the onion. Add garlic to taste, if desired.
