Ingredients For sardine cups

24(3" x 3") egg wonton wrappers

2 can(100g each) slightly smoked sardines in olive oil, drained

2 ozlight cream cheese, softened

2 Tbspmayonnaise

1 Tbspred peppers, finely chopped

1 Tbspfreshly squeezed lemon juice
-
1/2 Tbspfresh chives, finely chopped plus more for garnish

4-5 dashhot sauce such as cholula®, or more to taste
-
freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)

1 pinchground himalayan sea salt
-
sweet paprika, for garnish
How To Make sardine cups

1Preheat oven to 350ºF. Fit wonton wrappers into each hole of a greased mini muffin tin. Spray wontons lightly with cooking spray. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove from the heat, cool for 2 minutes and then remove from pan.

2Meanwhile, combine in a bowl sardines, cream cheese, mayo, red pepper and lemon juice; stir and mashed. Add chopped chives, hot sauce, freshly ground black pepper and salt; stir, taste and adjust if needed. Fill up the wonton wrappers (just the amount you need otherwise they’ll get soggy) with the sardine mixture and garnish with paprika, chives and a couple drops of hot sauce. Makes 24 cups
