I love shrimp cocktail, but when I had this in a Mexican restaurant one day I went over the moon for it, thus started my quest for how to make it. Finally I came up with this recipe. I like making my own salsa but using store bought works just as well, and its somewhat faster.

Ingredients For mexican shrimp cocktail

  • 1 lb
    cooked shrimp
  • 16 oz
    salsa, mild
  • 1/2 c
    chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    cilantro, fresh chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic minced
  • 1 lg
    avacado
  • 1 can
    tomatoe juice
  • 2 dash
    hot sauce

How To Make mexican shrimp cocktail

    Make sure shrimp is peeled and deveined. place in frig, till ready to use.

    In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients, saving shrimp and avocado for last. Mix together.

    stir in shrimp whole or chopped saving some for garnish.
  • 4
    add in avocado.
  • 5
    Cover and chill.
