Can't go wrong with a Caprese Salad, and these cute little bites turn it into a fun, cookout appetizer! I did not add amounts, as it is easily increased or decreased, to suit your needs, without wasting ingredients.

Ingredients For lady bug caprese salad

sliced fresh mozzarella

fresh basil leaves

cherry tomatoes, cut in half

black olives, cut in quarters

balsamic reduction, for spots

extra virgin olive oil
How To Make lady bug caprese salad

1Place Mozzarella slices on serving plate, Drizzle with a small amount of extra virgin olive oil (could drizzle on top of basil). Add one basil leaf, with stem split to resemble antennae.

2Cut a split "tail', to define "wings" on tomato half. May also need to cut off a thin slice at opposite end, so olive will fit closely.

3Add olive head, and add small drops of balsamic reduction, to mimic the spots.

4Serve and delight your guests!
