My dad is from Arkansas and of course the whole family loves hush puppies and fried fish. Except ME

Ingredients For hush puppies

  • 1 c
    cornmeal
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion or more i think the more the onions the better.

How To Make hush puppies

  • 1
    combine all dry ingredient in bowl and set aside.

    Combine egg,buttermilk and onion and stir until well blended.
  • 3
    drop by spoonful's into hot grease and fry until golden brown. hush puppies should start to float when done.
