Ingredients For homemade caramel corn

  • 8 qt
    popcorn, popped
  • 2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda

How To Make homemade caramel corn

    Preheat oven to 250 degrees: Melt butter add brown sugar,corn syrup and salt. Cook over medium stirring constantly until mixture boils then cook 5 minutes without stirring. before pouring over popcorn add baking soda,

    place popped corn on jelly roll pan do not over crowd and pour mixture over popped corn, fi not using all popcorn save some mixture for another pan.

    Place pan in oven and bake one hour turning popcorn every 15 minutes. Remove from oven completly and break up. Store in air tight container.
