Ingredients For guacamole dip or salad dressing

  • 3 large ripe avocados, mashed
  • 4 t. lemon juice, or more to taste
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1 can diced green chiles, 6 or 7 oz
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • salt to taste

How To Make guacamole dip or salad dressing

  • 1
    Stir together all ingredients until blended. Place dip in bowl and lay plastic wrap directly on top of avocado mixture, pressing on top gently to remove any air bubbles. This will keep the dip from darkening. Refrigerate until serving time. Serve with sliced fresh vegetables, or jicama. This is a lovely dressing to serve over sliced tomatoes and onion rings. It can be prepared earlier in the day and store in refrigerator. Makes about 4 cups dip or dressing. Source: Renny Darling
