This is a recipe that my mother would make for "refreshment" night. Saturday night was a special night for our family. We would all have our own glass bottle Coca Cola and whatever was the refreshment for that night. We would then sit down and watch Saturday Night Movies on channel 10.

Ingredients For fried peanuts

  • 1 lb
    raw peanuts
  • 1/4 c
    canola oil
  • salt, to taste

How To Make fried peanuts

    Heat oil.
  • 2
    Place peanuts in the hot oil.
  • 3
    Stir constantly until they just begin to turn red. If you cook them any longer, they will taste scorched.

    Remove from pan (a black skillet works best). Place on paper towels to drain.

    Salt to taste.

    Store any leftovers in an air-tight container. Leftovers were never a problem at the Sugg household.
