My friend gave me this recipe over twenty years ago and I have made it often since then. This is a great crowd pleaser, but be careful, there will be no left overs!

Ingredients For fondue in a loaf

1-1 1/2 lbsheepherders bread

16 ozcream cheese, room temperature

16 ozsour cream

1 lgbottle of dried beef

1 bunchchopped green onion
How To Make fondue in a loaf

1Hollow out the loaf of sheepherders bread. Save the top of the loaf.

2Rinse beef in water to remove excess salt. Drain well, then chop up beef.

3Blend cream cheese, sour cream, green onion, and beef, mixing well.

4Pour into the hollow out loaf of bread and put the top of the loaf back on. Cover with foil. Bake in a 350 oven for one hour. Serve with bread cubes, fresh veggies, or chips.
