This was a recipe we got from a friend (Phyllis Chodan) in Scotland. It was very good! I asked for it right away, and was glad to find it in Barb's recipe box again!

How To Make florentine spinach loaf

    2 loaves French bread, sliced along top. Scoop off a bit of soft crumbs. Fill with cheese mixture, wrap and seal in foil. Bake at 375 degrees, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Slice and serve warm.

    Cheese Mixture, Mix and chop in food processor: 16 oz philadelphia cream cheese 1 c mayo 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and drained 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese 1 med onion 8-10 slices smoked streaky bacon, fried crisp 1-2 t dill salt and pepper to taste
