These are an item I came up with myself when trying to find something outside the box to serve at a party I was having. Caprese Salads are one of my favorites so I decided to make caprese salads on a toothpick. They were a great hit with everyone there and disappeared quickly.

Ingredients For caprese appetizers

  • 1 (small) pkg
    cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg
    mozzarella pearls
  • 3-4 sprig
    fresh basil
  • 1 small can
    sliced black olives
  • 1 c
    low fat balsamic dressing

How To Make caprese appetizers

    Cut cherry tomatoes in half
  • 2
    Slice basil into short strips
  • 3
    Using a small decorative toothpick, slide 1 mozzarella pearl onto the toothpick, followed by a strip of basil, then 1 olive and top with cherry tomato half

    Once you've got as many as you want, arrange all into a rectangular or square serving dish. Pour the dressing over the toothpick skewers. Watch them disappear!
