I tried this once at a pot luck over 25 years ago and I still remember it. I have made it throughout the years with no left overs.

Ingredients For by memory dip

  • 2 can
    frito lay bean dip
  • 16 oz
    sour cream
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pkg
    shredded cheese
  • 1 can
    small chopped black olives
  • 3
    avocados
  • 2
    diced tomatoes
  • 1
    stalk chopped green onion
  • 1
    lemon

How To Make by memory dip

  • 1
    In a bowl cream the two cans of bean dip. Spread over a flat plate or cookie sheet. (foil first for easy clean up)
  • 2
    In a separate bowl prepare your avocado as if to make guacamole. Squeeze lemon to prevent browning. Spread over bean dip leaving bean dip showing on all sides.

    Mix together taco seasoning and sour cream. Spread across your avocado dip. Leave a side of avocado showing on all sides.

    Top with shredded cheese, chopped green onion, and olives. Serve cold.
