this is an italian appetizer, very easy to make . light, just perfect, before you start a meal. everybody in my family and my friends love it .

Ingredients For bruschette

  • 1
    long and skinny italian or french bread
  • 3 lg
    tomatoes
  • 4to5
    chopped fresh garlic.
  • oregano and salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil to taste
  • 1 bunch
    a bunch of fresh basil chopped.

How To Make bruschette

  • 1
    wash tomatoes and broil them under broiler. let cool. peel the tomatoes.

    chop tomatoes and add all ingredients. mix well. marinate covered in fridge for at least one hour or more . slice the bread and toast on each side under broilre. only takes couple of minutes... be careful not to burn the bread, like i do all the times... haaaaaa lol...

    when ready to serve , spoon a tablespoon full of tomatoes on each slice of bread. dont do this too much in advance as the bread will get soggy. enjoy .. it's light, easy and delicious !
