This has been a Christmas tradition in my family since I was a little girl, the recipe came from an old family friend who passed away a couple of years ago but she always made them for the ladies society Christmas party and now I make them every Christmas as tradition in my family...

Ingredients For bbq bacon waterchestnuts

2-8 ozcans of waterchestnuts (whole works best)

1 lbbacon

2 cketchup

1 cbrown sugar, packed

2 Tbspworcestershire sauce

How To Make bbq bacon waterchestnuts

1Drain Water chestnuts and slice open bacon and cut into thirds. Wrap each water chestnut with a slice of bacon and seal with a toothpick. Place in a 9 x13 baking dish. Bake 20 min at 350 degrees and then combine, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and honey into a bowl. Spoon generously over the bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Bake 29 minutes more until sauce is coated all over bacon. Allow to cool and then transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
