I remember my mom making these for parties and I loved them. I used to reach up on top of the table and knew I got the right ones when I stuck my fingers into the toothpicks.

Ingredients For water chestnut roll-ups, mom's

  • 1 lb
    bacon
  • 8 oz
    can waterchestnuts
  • 1/3 c
    catsup
  • 1/2 c
    sugar

How To Make water chestnut roll-ups, mom's

  • 1
    Cut bacon in half widthwise. Roll one piece of bacon around one waterchestnut. Place cut side down in 9x13. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour and drain. Combine catsup and sugar, pour over chestnuts and bake one more hour. Remove to serving platter and serve with a toothpick in each
