sweet n' sour meatballs

This recipe was given to me by a friend of my sister many years ago. I make it for parties, every time I have a gathering. It works well served with toothpicks. It is delicious, easy and takes little effort and no time at all to prepare. I usually double the amount because there are never leftovers!!It is delicious served over rice or egg noodles.

Ingredients For sweet n' sour meatballs

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce, light
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced onion
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 can
    cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 bottle
    (12 oz.) chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice concentrate

How To Make sweet n' sour meatballs

    Combine first 9 ingredients and shape into balls. Bake in a baking pan at 350 till brown.

    Combine cranberry sauce, ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar & lemon juice in a saucepan, heat, & stir until cranberries melts.

    Pour over meatballs and heat until hot, few minutes. Serve with toothpicks or over rice or noodles.
