  • 3/4 c
    low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    shaoxing cooking wine
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp
    sambal oelek
  • 1 tsp
    Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced ginger
  • 1 lg
    clove garlic, pressed
  • cooked chicken wings

How To Make shanghai chicken wings

    In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add all the ingredients and whisk to blend.

    Bring to a simmer and cook until it reduces by half or until it turns into a thick consistency, about 25 minutes, whisking often.

    Pour over cooked wings, toss, and enjoy!
