This is one of my favorite recipes for sausage balls. I have been using this recipe for several years.

Ingredients For sausage balls

  • 1 - 10 oz
    package cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 lb
    owens mild country style sausage
  • 2 1/2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 3 to 4 oz
    beer or chicken broth

How To Make sausage balls

    Grate cheese and mix with sausage and let this misture sit out for approximately 2 hours.

    Mix in Bisquick mix and enough broth or beer so the misture will stick together.

    Roll into 1 inch balls and return to freezer. When ready to bake, take out desired amount and bake in 350 degree oven approximately 15 minutes. Turn balls over and bake until brown.

    I make mine with chicken broth. The receipe calls for Owens hot country style sausage, my family likes mild.
