My best friend Tracey gave me a recipe for a sausage/bread roll and we decided to make it in to an appetizer and it is a big hit at any gathering! Great for Superbowl Sunday!!

Ingredients For big score sausage balls

1 lblean ground beef

1 lbhot sausage

1 lbregular sausage

1 lgonion, chopped

1 mdgreen pepper, chopped

2-3 candiced tomatoes with green chilis

8 cansmall pillsbury buttermilk biscuits

1 lbshredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 lbshredded colby/jack cheese
How To Make big score sausage balls

1Brown the ground beef and sausages along with the onion and green pepper in large pan.

2Add the tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes and then drain all the juices from the pan.

3Roll out the biscuits one can at a time into 4-5 inch circles and place some of the cheese in the middle and top with a heaping tablespoon of the meat mixture and then roll it into a ball, making sure to seal it up.

4Place the rolls on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray and bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees. Enjoy! These are good right out of the oven or can be frozen for after school snacks. Just pop them in the microwave for a minute.
