This is an old recipe from Hillshire Farms that I recently rediscovered. It would be great for tailgate parties, indoors or out.

Ingredients For oktoberfest sizzlers

6smoked sausage or polska kielbasa links

4 ozmuenster cheese, shredded

1 csauerkraut, rinsed and drained

6 slicebacon, partially cooked

2 ozmuenster cheese, shredded
How To Make oktoberfest sizzlers

1Split sausages lengthwise, 3/4 through. Fill each sausage piece with mixture of 2 TB shredded muenster cheese and 1 TB sauerkraut.

2Wrap each sausage with bacon; secure with a toothpick.

3Grill or broil (4 inches from heat) until thoroughly heated and bacon is fully cooked. Garnish with additional cheese.

4NOTE: I prefer to use Stokely's Traditional Bavarian Style Sauerkraut because I love the caraway seeds!
