The inspiration for this recipe came from another site. http://mixingbowl.betterrecipes.com/ham-and-cheese-pastries-tnt-1.html I changed it up a bit. These are great hot appetizers for any party.

Ingredients For mini hot hammy sammy

  • 1 1/2 pkg
    brown & serve dinner rolls
  • 1/4 c
    dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp
    mayonaise
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz
    swiss cheese
  • 1 c
    deli ham finely diced
  • 2
    egg yolks
  • 2 tsp
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 stick
    butter

How To Make mini hot hammy sammy

    Cut the rolls in half like a hamburger bun. Place the bottom half into a 9x13 baking dish.

    Mix together the mustard, mayo and Worcestershire sauce. Using a brush, spread the mixture onto the bottom half of the rolls.

    Dice or grate the cheese and ham and spread over the mayo/mustard/Worcestershire mixture.

    Mix together the egg yolks and cream. Spread on the cut side of the dinner roll top.

    Place the dinner roll tops on the ham/cheese mixture so you have little sandwiches. Spread the tops with butter.

    Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 7-10 minutes until the rolls are browned. Serve warm.
