These rolls have a tendency to go quickly. They're packed with flavor and small enough that people forget calories and eat more than one!

Ingredients For filled dinner rolls

  • 2 pkg
    (pans) small dinner rolls (i use mrs. schubert's)
  • 3/4 lb
    each, ham and turkey (deli sliced thin)
  • 8-12 oz
    shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or 3-cheese mix)
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    margarine
  • 2 Tbsp
    poppy seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    mustard

How To Make filled dinner rolls

  • 1
    Melt together the mustard, sugar, margarine (or butter if you prefer) and poppy seeds.

    Cut rolls in half with an electric or bread knife.

    Remove tops and brush bottoms with some of the mustard mixture. Layer meat and cheeses, place tops back on rolls and brush tops with remaining mustard mixture.

    Place on cookie sheet (still in pans) and bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts. Best if served warm but they'll eat them cold too!
