Ingredients For cocktail meatballs

  • 1 lb
    ground beef. or more depending upon how many meatballs you want to make
  • tart jelly such as currant, grape, plum, apple, etc. now they even have those sweet hot chili jellies too which would be good
  • chili sauce

How To Make cocktail meatballs

    Mix your ground beef with your preferred seasonings such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, grill seasoning.. to taste. Add 1 egg per pound of meat and cracker crumbs or bread crumbs to desired consistency.. enough to bind and make nice, firm meatballs. Heat a large skillet to medium heat, add a touch of olive oil to the pan and start rolling small mini meatballs. Brown on all sides and cook until done. Transfer to chaffing dish or large sauce pan and add the jelly and chili sauce adding more chili sauce than jelly.. enough to cover all the meatballs nicely. Heat well. Supply toothpics for serving
