a quick and easy appetizer,or side for breakfast. You can also crumble the bacon and use for soups or salads. I made a small amount and crumbled it on a salad. It is sweet and different

Ingredients For caramelized bacon

1 lbbacon, do not use thick sliced

1 1/8 cbrown sugar

1-1 1/2 tspred pepper flakes, ( depending on your tastes)
How To Make caramelized bacon

1combine brown sugar and red pepper flakes. coat each slice of bacon with mixture

2transfer to a jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper

3Bake at 375 for 10 minutes, turn bacon over and continue to cook for 10 more minutes

4Bacon will be done when dark and golden and firm (not black) serve at room temperature
