My brother Mark sent me this recipe along time ago from Montana. It takes awhile but it turned out pretty good.

Ingredients For beef stick

  • 5 lb
    hamburger or any ground meeat you choose
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    coarse ground pepper
  • 5 tsp
    quick cure salt
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 tsp
    hickory smoked salt

How To Make beef stick

  • 1
    mix all ingredients and add to hamburger
  • 2
    place in a covered dish in the refrigerator for 4 days. remix on the 2nd and 3rd day. 4th day form into 5 1pound loaves.

    place on a cookie sheet and cover with foil.
  • 4
    bake at 200 degrees for 8 hours. turning every 2 hours
