Ingredients For apple bacon sausage balls

  • 1/2 cup margarine, 1 stick
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix
  • 4 oz. breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 4 oz. turkey sausage, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup shredded apple
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 to 2 pounds sliced bacon

How To Make apple bacon sausage balls

  • 1
    Heat margarine in water in pan until melted. Add to stuffing mix in a bowl and mix well. Add breakfast sausage, turkey sausage and apple. Mix well. Chill for 1 hour. Shape by tablespoonfuls into balls and roll each ball in chopped pecans. Cut bacon slices crosswise into thirds. Wrap one piece of bacon around each ball and secure with a wooden pick. Put on baking sheet and bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes or until cooked through. You can cut one of the balls into halves to test for doneness. This can also be served as an appetizer. Serves 8 Big Taste of Little Rock
