appetizer essentials: yummy chuck roast dip

This is a great way to use up some of that leftover chuck roast you have in the fridge. It is easy to assemble. Put it together, place it on some nice crackers, and watch them disappear. As a matter of fact, I love this dip so much that I will actually cook a chuck roast just so I can make it. So, yummy. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For appetizer essentials: yummy chuck roast dip

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 2/3 c
    mayonnaise, plain variety
  • 1/2 c
    celery, chopped finely
  • 1/2 c
    leftover, cooked, chuck roast
  • 1/4 c
    dijon mustard, i prefer grey poupon
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet relish
  • 1 - 2 dash
    hot sauce, i prefer frank’s
  • salt, kosher variety to taste
  • white pepper, freshly ground, to taste
  • ADDITIONAL ITEMS
  • crackers or crusty bread for serving
  • OPTIONAL ITEMS
  • baby dill, or other fresh herb, for garnish

How To Make appetizer essentials: yummy chuck roast dip

    A mini-prep chopper, or a food processor, fitted with an S-Blade.

    PREP/PREPARE

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  • 4
    Take the chuck roast, and chop it up… chop, chop, chop.

    Add the roast to a small food prep, or processor, fitted with an S-blade.

    Give it a few 1-second pulses, until it is nice and shredded, but not ground to a paste.

    Add the beef, and the remainder of the ingredients to a non-reactive bowl.

    Mix together with a fork, until thoroughly combined.

    Do a final testing for proper seasoning, and then cover and put in the fridge for an hour or two before serving.

    Place on crackers, toasted bread, or just place it in a bowl, and let people dip their own. Enjoy.
