These little gems are irresistible!!! An absolute must for any tailgate party, outdoor or indoor! We often enjoy these with a cup of soup for dinner. I also like to take a pan to get-togethers where appetizers are served. I often double this recipe for a crowd. The fun part is customizing your ingredients! Enjoy!!!

Your next tailgate needs these yummy little sandwiches. They are the ideal munchable size. The sweetness from the rolls and the ham are the perfect balance to the savory cream cheese, Parmesan, and onion. Be ready for some high fives when these are served.

Ingredients For anytime tailgate sandwiches

  • 12
    King's Hawaiian sweet rolls, split across (no substitutes!)
  • 1 lb
    honey ham or turkey, shaved
  • 12 oz
    Swiss or provolone cheese, sliced
  • 8 oz
    tub Philadelphia chive and onion or garden vegetable cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce (can use less to taste)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dried minced onion (can use less to taste)

How To Make anytime tailgate sandwiches

  • White baking dish with non-stick spray.

    Lightly spray 11x7 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Split rolls across with serrated knife and arrange in dish.
  • Ham and Swiss cheese layered on top of sweet rolls.

    Layer ham (or turkey) and Swiss (or provolone) on top of roll bottoms.
  • Cream cheese being spread on top of rolls.

    Spread roll tops with layer of cream cheese. Carefully place tops to match up with rolls below.
  • Parmesan spread on top of finished sandwiches.

    Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine melted butter, Parmesan, Worcestershire, and minced onion. Pour evenly over sandwiches. Let stand for about 20 minutes.
  • Sandwiches covered in foil and baking in the oven.

    Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated through.
  • 12 ham and Swiss sandwiches in a baking dish.

    Serve right from the pan or separate and present on a platter. Have fun experimenting and customizing the recipe. You can't imagine how yummy these are... and popular, too!!!
