If you like cream cheese with preserves or jam, on bread, this will be like that only, easier before spreading. Servings depend on if you are using small crackers to spread it on or something larger, like a bagel, etc.

Ingredients For simple cream cheese & preserves spread

  • 2 pkg
    (8 oz each) cream cheese, or light cream cheese (neufchatel), softened
  • 1/2 c
    any fruit preserves (less if runny), bring close to room temperature for better mixing & spreadability
  • serve with crackers, toast, bagels, muffins, & other breads

How To Make simple cream cheese & preserves spread

    Mix softened cream cheese or light cream cheese (Neufchatel) and preserves, in a medium bowl, with a fork to start. Then, with an electric mixer, beat until well mixed and consistency is fluffy. Store in refrigerator.
