blood orange, avocado, and red onion salad
I usually wouldn't buy a blood orange because of the expense but I had to try this recipe. We have had it twice--once using the white balsamic vinegar and once using regular balsamic. I liked it better with the white balsamic and it was a toss up for my husband because he liked it both ways. It not only makes a lovely salad but it is refreshing.

1peel and dice into chunks one blood orange

2peel and dice into chunks one avocado

3thinly slice red onion

4Put into a small bowl and lightly toss. Serve on small plates and drizzle with a little of the balsamic vinegar
