They advertise a different version of this with out the meat..The meat makes this dip. This is an awesome cheese dip! I am asked to bring it all the time.

Ingredients For sausage cheese dip

  • 1 lb
    jimmy deans sage sausage
  • 8 oz
    velveta cheese cubed
  • 3 can
    rotel (we use mild) small cans or 1 big one

How To Make sausage cheese dip

    We use mild Rotell but if you like it hotter you can use medium or hot. I also have a friend that makes this an she uses jimmy deans Italian sausage. Cook up sausage an crumble. I use microwave takes about 6 min. Drain all grease. While that is cooking, in a microwaveable bowl, I add a 1/2 a block (8oz) of velveta cheese cubed and 3 cans of Rotell (Do not drain Rotell). While sausage is draining, melt cheese and rotel together. Cook for 6 minutes in microwave (stir about every 2 minutes). Then add sausage heat for 2 more minutes. Serve with tostidos or another tortilla chip.Works well in crockpot to stay warm.
