I make this for the Holidays, served with toasted Baguette slices, or whole grain crackers, it's a big hit!!!

Ingredients For sandy's sassy salmon cheeseball

  • 2 pkg
    (8 oz each) philly brand cream cheese, room temp.
  • 1 1/2-2 c
    good quality smoked salmon, flaked
  • 3 tsp
    dried chives or fresh
  • 2-3 tsp
    dried parsley or fresh
  • 1/4 c
    finely minced (sweet) red onion
  • 2 Lg clove
    finely minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    dried dill weed or fresh
  • 1/2 cup
    finely minced canned black olives, drain well
  • 1/2 tsp
    coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 c
    walnuts (finely chopped & toasted)

How To Make sandy's sassy salmon cheeseball

    place room temp. cream cheese in large bowl,add dill, chives, parsley, black pepper, mix to incorporate spices, add onion, garlic ,olives &salmon , mix well.

    form into ball or log and roll in chopped toasted walnuts or slivered almonds.Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 2 hrs.Serve with grilled / toasted baguette or whole grain crackers.

    can substitute chopped green onion for the red onions, also can roll in grated med. cheddar cheese & garnish with lemon slices & fresh dill or green onion or capers. Enjoy
