Ingredients For oven baked jalapeÑo poppers

  • 4 oz
    light cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 oz
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded plus more for topping
  • 2 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    finely chopped chives
  • 6 lg
    jalapeño peppers, halved, seeded, and ribs removed
  • 1/3 c
    panko® breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How To Make oven baked jalapeÑo poppers

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat; set aside.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder and chives. Stir until nicely blended.

    Evenly stuff the jalapeño peppers with the cream cheese mixture; sprinkle a little more cheddar cheese over top.

    In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Top off the peppers with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down gently to adhere.

    Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the top is golden brown.

    Remove from the heat and let the stuffed peppers sit for 10 minutes before serving.
