miniature tomato sandwiches

I think this recipe may have come from a Southern Living magazine but I'm not positive. Wherever it can from, the sandwiches are easy to make and yummy. Perfect in the summer when visitors drop in. Serve with sweet ice tea or lemonade, a real keeper.

Ingredients For miniature tomato sandwiches

1french baquette

13 oz. cream cheese - softened

2 Tbspfresh basil - chopped

1/4 cmayo

1/4 tspeach - salt & pepper

4-5plum tomatoes - sliced,
How To Make miniature tomato sandwiches

1Mix together mayonnaise, cream cheese, basis, 1/8 teaspoon salt & 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

2Cover and refrigerate up to 8 hours.

3Slice baquette into 16 slices.

4Spread cheese mixture on 1 side of each baguette slice.

5Top each slice evenly with tomatoes. How many slices depends on the size of the tomatoes.

6Sprinkle each slice with remaining salt and pepper.
