Cute and tasty for Halloween.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This is a simple and cute Halloween cheese ball. We have had similar cheese balls but they're coated with crushed cheese tortilla chips. Coating with finely shredded cheese is a much tastier method. It prevents the cheese ball to get soggy. The only problem with this recipe is it's so cute we didn't want to eat it!

Ingredients For jack-o'-lantern cheese ball

  • 2 pkg
    cream cheese, 8 oz each
  • 2 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • black olive and leafy part of celery stalk for garnish

Crackers are great, but it's delicious with celery too.

    Let grated cheddar sit out to room temp till soft. Blend well-softened cream cheese and cheddar cheese; mix in Worcestershire sauce.

    Form ball and roll in shredded cheddar cheese.

    Form eyes, nose, and mouth with sliced olives.

    Stick leaf from celery stalk on top for "stem." Refrigerate 10 minutes then serve with crackers.
