My cousin brought this home when she came back from married military life. Now I think I make it more then she does. Everyone that has it wants more. I have no idea what the name of it originally was but we in Maine have named it Italian Cheese Spread because it tastes like eating an Italian on a cracker. An Italian is what we call a ham sandwich/sub with green peppers, onions, ham, cheese, pickles, tomatoes and black olives. P.s I always have to double the batch never bring home leftovers.

Dice up the green pepper and onion. I cut the beef into tiny pieces. I also use my mixer as I always double this recipe. Combine the meat and cheese and mix. Add as much onion to taste as you prefer. Add the green pepper for looks and taste. Make sure your veggies are small or it will not spread well. Chill and serve on Ritz crackers.

Carl Budding beef is found in your grocery store prepackaged deli meat section. I have never substituted with Hillshire Farms or anything else so I do no know if your flavors or amounts would be the same. Also the cracker is Ritz to have the result of an italian sandwich. If you have never had an italian you may find the cracker does not matter.
