This recipe has been a family favorite for years. We have it every Christmas/New Year's Eve. It is my grandmother's recipe. Every time I take it somewhere, people love it.

Ingredients For grandma's ham & cheese ball

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/2 c
    (scant) miracle whip
  • 1 can
    (5 oz.) chunk ham
  • 12
    drops tobasco sauce (adjust to your taste)
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • chopped pecans

How To Make grandma's ham & cheese ball

    Cream together cream cheese and Miracle Whip.

    Drain ham (if needed). Add ham (I chop it a bit while it's in the can before adding it), Tobasco sauce, and parsley flakes to mixture. Stir together.

    Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hrs.

    Drop onto wax paper and roll mixture into a ball using the wax paper. Roll in chopped pecans.

    Serve with Ritz crackers, Triscuits, or whatever suits your fancy.
