Ingredients For fried mozzarella sticks

1 lbmozzarella cheese, cut into 32 sticks

1/2 call-purpose flour

2 lgeggs
-
2 Tbspwater

1-1/2 cplain dry bread crumbs

1/2 tspseasoned salt
-
1/4 tspgarlic powder
-
16 ozcooking oil
-
favorite dipping sauce, if desired
How To Make fried mozzarella sticks

1In a bag, shake cheese with flour until well coated.

2In a shallow bowl, beat eggs with water.

3In a second shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, seasoned salt, and garlic powder.

4Dip coated cheese sticks, one at a time, in egg mixture.

5Then roll in crumb mixture until well coated.

6Place cheese sticks on a large baking sheet and chill for one hour.

7In a medium heavy-bottom saucepan or electric skillet, heat the oil to 375 degrees.

8Fry sticks 3 or 4 at a time in hot oil for about 3 to 5 seconds or until golden brown.

9Remove with a slotted spoon.

10Drain on paper towels.

11Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce.
