My husband and I live on a dairy farm.Our milk goes to Land O'Lakes Dairy. I found this recipe in a newsletter from them and thought it sounded good.I tried it for our Sunday school progressive dinner and everyone kept eating this until it was all.Everyone loves this and wants the recipe.

Ingredients For french quarter cheese spread

1 pkg8 oz. cream cheese ,softened

1 Tbspgrated onion

1 tspminced garlic

1/4 cbutter
-
1/4 cbrown sugar,(packed)

1 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/2 tspprepared mustard

1 cfinely chopped pecans,toasted

assorted crackers or gingersnaps
How To Make french quarter cheese spread

1In a small bowl,combine cream cheese,onion, and garlic.Transfer to a serving plate.Shape into a 6 inch disk. Set aside.

2In a small saucepan,combine the butter,brown sugar,worcestershire sauce and mustard.Cook and stir over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat:stir in pecans.Cool slightly.Spoon over cheese mixture. Serve with crackers or gingersnaps.
