Take your egg salad sandwich to another level with this fancy egg salad. There's crunch from finely chopped celery and a nice tang from chopped green olives. With mustard and onion powder, this version has a very refined flavor. Depending on how small the hard-boiled eggs are chopped, this could be served as a delicious tea sandwich, on a roll or bagel, or as a great dip.

Ingredients For fancy egg salad

  • 6
    hard-boiled eggs, cooled, peeled, and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    celery, chopped fine
  • 12 lg
    green olives with pimento, chopped
  • 3/4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp
    mustard
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • Miracle Whip, enough to moisten
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make fancy egg salad

  • Ingredients in a bowl.

    Mix ingredients until well combined.
  • Let sit in the fridge for an hour.

    Let sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve on a roll or as a dip.

    Serve on bread for a sandwich or serve with crackers as an appetizer.
