Ingredients For easy peasy mozzarella appetizers
- PLAN/PURCHASE

mozzarella cut into thick sticks

wonton wrappers
-
peanut oil for frying

dipping sauce, your choice
How To Make easy peasy mozzarella appetizers

1PREP/PREPARE

2Gather and prep all your ingredients.

3Chef’s Note: Wonton wrappers are the ideal size (3.5 inches square). However, in a pinch, you can cut large eggroll wrappers to the same size.

4Chef’s Note: Cut the mozzarella into sticks 1/4 inch thick by 3 inches wide.

5Heat about a 1/4-inch of oil in a pan to 350f (175c).

6Place a stick of mozzarella on a wonton wrapper.

7Use a bit of water to dampen the two top sides of the wanton wrapper.

8Fold up the bottom.

9Tuck in the sides.

10Roll into a tight bundle.

11Repeat for the other mozzarella sticks.

12Add them to the hot oil.

13Allow them to cook for about 1 minute per side.

14Chef’s Tip: If you let them cook too long the cheese will expand and ooze out of the wrapper. I HATE it when that happens.

15Chef’s Tip: If you are making several batches of these, preheat your oven to 200f (95c), and put them in there to keep warm until ready to serve.
