drema's spicy cheese ring mold

This makes a pretty and spicy appetizer. I mold this in a large ring mold so it comes out looking like an over-size donut! For smaller crowds you can simply use a smaller mold. Scoop or pour the preserves over the top or place along side and arrange crackers to your liking. (Use premium RED RASPBERRY PRESERVES only) The flavor is outstanding together! This is best accmpanied with Red Raspberry Preserves and some nice unflavored crackers or flatbreads.

Ingredients For drema's spicy cheese ring mold

  • 1 lb
    cheddar cheese, sharp, block, grated fresh with hand grater (no pre-bagged)
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped fine
  • 1 c
    mayo
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper, ground
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    liquid smoke

How To Make drema's spicy cheese ring mold

    Spray mold with non-stick coating spray. Wipe excess out gently with paper towel. Set aside.

    In large mixing bowl, place grated cheese and remaining ingredients. Mix well with hands. Scoop into your mold preference and chill overnite or until you are ready for.

    At serving time, set mold in warm water for about 10 minutes. Run knife around edges of mold. Place serving platter over the mold and turn over. Allow to sit there for about 10 minutes. Lift off mold. Place in fridge until serving time. Arrange crackers or flatbreads strategically to one side and pour or scoop Red Raspberry preserves beside the cheese mold Delicious!
