This is one of my very favorite appetizers, after living in Scotland. Chutney topped with some curry in the cheese...you will love it too!

Ingredients For chutney cheese ball

6 ozcream cheese, softened

2 Tbspdry sherry

1/4 lbshredded cheddar cheese (or 1 cup)

1/2 tspcurry powder

1/4 tspsalt
-
dashhot red pepper sauce
-
1/2 cmango chutney, finely chopped

4green onions and tops, minced
-
wheat crackers
How To Make chutney cheese ball

1Combine cream cheese, cheddar, sherry, curry, salt and hot pepper sauce with electric mixer. beat until almost smooth. adjust seasoning to taste. spread in 1/2 inch thick disc on serving platter. chill to firm. at serving time spread chutney over the top of the mixture and sprinkle with onions. serve with crackers.
