My mother-in-law spotted this recipe in the local newspaper a few years ago. She thought it would be fun to try for dessert for our Super Bowl party. It was fabulous so I make it every year for the SB and other events! (My pictures shows it spread on a shortbread cookie! Yum!)

Ingredients For chocolate chip pecan cheese ball

8 ozspreadable cream cheese

3/4 cpowdered sugar

1/2 cbutter, softened (not melted)

2 Tbspbrown sugar

1 tspvanilla extract

3/4 cmini chocolate chips

1 ctoasted pecans, finely chopped

graham crackers, shortbread cookies, nilla wafers and/or pretzels
How To Make chocolate chip pecan cheese ball

1Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, brown sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth. Add chocolate chips and ½ cup pecans. Refrigerate until firm then form mixture into desired shape and roll in remaining pecans. Serve with cookies and/or pretzels.
