cheesy pepperoni pizza sticks

I saw this on Facebook and thought it sounded like a perfect appetizer for snacking on while watching a football game. It's just a step above the baked cheese sticks we usually order at our favorite sports bar. I changed the herbs so it incorporated more of our favorite Italian herbs. But the recipe can easily be adjusted further, to include basil or just about any other Italian seasoning as well.

How To Make cheesy pepperoni pizza sticks
-
1Preheat oven to 450°F.
-
2Roll pizza dough on a lightly greased baking sheet to form a large rectangle. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough (width-wise) down the center. Then cut both halves into 5 rows each, so you have 10 equal size dough rectangles.
-
3Arrange 4 pepperoni slices on each rectangle, then place a cheese stick on top of the pepperoni slices. Roll the dough around the cheese stick, and pinch the edges to seal the pepperoni and cheese inside.
-
4In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir the garlic powder and parsley into the butter. Brush the dough with the garlic butter.
-
5Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until the dough is a light golden brown. Serve as is, or you can serve them with marinara sauce for dipping.
